Black Beard's Brew

Black Beard's Brew
A Dark Roast as bold as the infamous pirate himself, Black Beard’s Brew is a blend of Honduran and Mexican beans that will transport you to the Caribbean region that was the setting of the iconic pirate’s exploits in the early 1700s. A bold man of mystery, Black Beard (AKA Edward Teach) reportedly preferred to avoid violence and simply frighten his adversaries into surrendering without a fight. So raise your mug to Black Beard and surrender to the flavor! The package illustration is by local Penn Wynne (Philadelphia) artist, musician, and pirate enthusiast Paul Downie, whose song Black Beard (with his band Big Fire) is available on all streaming platforms. The song is a work of historical fiction, written on the island of Ocracoke, NC, Black Beard’s beloved port of call where he succumbed to the Virginia governor’s forces and reached the end of his illustrious life after a week-long party on the beach!
